Library Card
Any resident of the city of Kanawha or surrounding rural area can get a library card from the Kanawha Public Library at no cost. You will need to present identification showing a name and current address. If the address on your license/identification is not current you will also need to show proof of address (check, utility bill, mail. etc.). There is no minimum age for a library card, but for children aged 12 and under a parent or legal guardian must be present. If a parent or guardian cannot be present, a Kanawha Public Library card registration form may be filled out and signed by the parent or legal guardian. Staff will contact this person to verify their signature.
There is no cost for a replacement card if yours is lost or damaged.
To get a library card or replacement, please ask any of our staff at the circulation desk.
